Lot Details
c. 1967 Chevrolet Biscayne 427
The 'Biscayne' name conjures images of no-frills, basic Chevrolet sedans rather than high-performance, drag strip terrors. Conceived as an entry-level Chevrolet model in 1958, Biscaynes were offered through the years as 2-door and 4-door sedans as well as station wagon variants. As a price leader, most Biscaynes were delivered with few, if any, options and economical 6-cylinder engines.

For a time, however, Biscaynes could be ordered with any motor and drivetrain setup in the Chevrolet parts catalog. Consequently, a limited number of Biscaynes were ordered in 2-door form with the legendary 427 cubic inch V8. An even smaller number of these were equipped with the 4-speed manual transmission, and in this form the no-frills, lightweight Biscayne was a true 'sleeper' ready to blast down the quarter mile.

Believed to be an original 427/4-speed example, this 2-door Biscayne is presented today sans engine and transmission, and awaits restoration back to its former 7-liter glory.
