1955 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe Nassau 2-door Hardtop
Chassis no. W5518585
The Nassau, designed by the legendary Virgil Exner, was introduced as a more economical offering in the 1955 model Chrysler Windsor Deluxe line. As a sister to the Newport, the car was only produced for two years, and differed from its sibling only in trim options.
As a great example of Chrysler's chrome-era styling, this 1955 Chrysler Windsor Nassau Deluxe stands out from the competition of the day with subtle chrome tailfins, clean hardtop styling and a distinctive twin-grille at the front. As the ads read, a "Million Dollar Look".
Finished in Jewel Black with a black and white interior, this car shows an astonishing and original 55,000 miles from new. It was subject to one repaint some years ago in the original color, and still retains its original 301ci V8 mated to the optional Powerflight automatic transmission with dash-mounted shift lever.
With no evidence of rust issues, the car has recently undergone a substantial mechanical renovation, including all new brakes, a new master cylinder, new brake lines, new battery, new radiator, fuel pump, belts, hoses, new dual exhaust, new radial tires. The car is accompanied by the original jack, owner's manual, and factory service manual. The original spare is still in the trunk!
