Lot Details
1965 Daimler Majestic Major Saloon
Chassis no. 137662
Engine no. 94484
The Daimler Majestic saloon, a 3.7-liter six-cylinder car, was augmented by an upscale sibling with a 4.5-liter V8 in October 1959. The Majestic Major, as it was named, remained in production through May 1968.

Only recently retrieved from long-term storage, this Daimler Majestic Major saloon is in need of general overall restoration. The fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid are in good overall condition, although there is some rust in the lower door panels. The white paint appears mostly original, although there has been some touch-up, as evidenced by overspray in some areas. The glass is generally good, but for some separation in the rear window. Seals are dry and cracking, and chrome is thin in some areas and pitted.

The interior is brown Connolly leather and serviceable, but shows age and wear. Woodwork shows finish cracking and some water damage. The engine is dirty, and has not been run in many years. Its internal condition and that of the Borg-Warner automatic transmission are unknown. Though needing a thorough rejuvenation, this is an excellent project for an enthusiastic new owner.
