signed Asprey London with registered stamping inside lid for 1909 the fine set bears the original green lining inside a black leathercloth case, bound with original honey leather edges and heavy leather carrying handles brass lock, and brass studs, fully fitted and complete with two sandwich boxes, fine leather covered thermos flask a large open weave woven wicker drinks bottle, four stacking metal tumblers, and drinking metal bottles together with fine white ceramic butter jar, two salt and pepper glass condiment bottles a glass milk bottle and storage box, cutlery and enamel plates displayed in the lid and held in honey leather straps this is an extremely smart and rare set from the heady days of veteran motoring enabling the landed gentry and nobility to partake in a picnic with true style, made by one of the very finest of all picnic set makers - Asprey & Co.
