1969 Ford Ranchero GT
Chassis no. 9A48F244578
Unlike a pickup truck, the Ranchero was adapted from a station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body, a formula which proved popular with over 500,000 units produced during the model's production run.
1968 saw the Fairlane line supplemented by the new Torino and the Ranchero followed suit, becoming the largest model since the full-sized 1959. Overall, the new Ranchero was not only bigger, but more angular than before with its more horizontal grille and horizontal headlamps.
The car offered here retains its original 302cid V8, with floor-shift C4 automatic. It has been upgraded with GT style stripes, GT hood scoop, Sport mirrors, and hood pins, and runs on Cragar Mag wheels and sounds as it should with the stainless high-flow exhaust system. Quite the package; and in the striking Grabber Orange paint color, this Ranchero is quite the head-turner.
