The shaped bar pattern cylinder movement jeweled the third wheel, plain gilt balance with flat spring, key wound and set, circular white enamel dial with roman chapters, concealed beneath an enameled panel enhanced with a spray of rose cut diamond flowers, the frame profusely engraved with foliate scrolls and flowers, numbered on movement and case. 80 mm long

  • Founded in the late 18th century as the partnership of Jean François Bautte (1772 – 1837)and Jacques Dauphin Moulinier, the firm made its reputation with fine jeweled watch cases and snuff boxes. Upon the death of J. F. Bautte, the firm became J. F. Bautte & Cie. and traded under that name until 1855.
