A rare duet Oiseau Chantant part-Orchestral timepiece-actuated interchangeable music box,

With eight cylinders playing eight airs each, double-spring motor tune indicator, tune selector, the accompaniment controls for drum, castanet, six-bell before front soundboard, two singing birds flanking the bell buffet rack, one with green, yellow and red, the other with blue, red and brown feathered plumage each with green iridescent highlights, moving heads, beaks, wings and body to timed song pinned from the cylinder, nickel-plated fittings, raised reed box soundboard, on reeded cast gilt bedplate under dustlid in ebonised interior, in large and imposing rosewood veneered case, the two-train clock to front with black dial and Roman numerals, silvered basal, actuated when start/stop control placed in the intermediate position, the lid with stained fruitwood inlay of snowdrops, maracas and flute, crossbanded to the top, front and the sides, ormolu cast carrying handles, large ebonised plinth base, storage drawer to front base, on later stand in the Eastern taste with clasp mounts.
