The remaining luster is a bit subdued, but this coin is an attractive silver-gray color and the surfaces show minimal handling evidence from brief circulation. Key date to the series, this coin should fit into an album or similar display with other Uncirculated coins. The small mintage of 350,000 pieces was mostly stored in bank vaults and these stored coins found their way to the melting pots in 1918 under the Pittman Act which gathered up millions of Morgan dollars and melted them to form new Peace dollars in a few years.
