A U.S. Springfield Model 1903 Mark I bolt action rifle with rare Pedersen Device
Serial no. 1145914, .30-06 caliber. Barrel dated 2-20. Parkerized finish with blued action. Action with standard markings and port for Pedersen magazine. Oil-finished stock with AAC cartouche indicating recondition at Augusta Arsenal, P in cartouche behind triggerguard and F in front of triggerguard. Rifle sold along with rare Pedersen Device, serial no. 29828. Marked U.S.A. 1918-Mark I/289828/Remington-Bridgeport/Pedersen's Pat's Pending. Blued finish. Together with original ribbed metal holster which retains much dark finish. Also included is an olive drab web holster for the Pedersen magazines, marked on one side R.I.A./7-19.
Condition: Very good to fine as reconditioned. Fore-sight and forward mount showing wear to finish. Action with some edge wear. Wood with scattered light marks. Pedersen Device retaining most dark blued finish, the holster with some wear to finish.
