A custom engraved Colt 3rd Model Dragoon percussion revolver
Serial no. 15369 for 1855, .44 caliber. 7 1/2 inch barrel with New York address. Blued, casehardened and silver-plated finish. Aftermarket engraving on muzzle and lug of barrel, on frame and on triggerguard/gripstrap. Rosewood grips.
Condition: Very good to fine as refinished and showing some areas of light pitting on loading lever and cylinder with one patch of heavier pitting to left side of frame. Barrel markings refreshed. Cylinder retains perhaps half of what is probably a re-rolled scene, the serial number restamped. Excellent replaced grips.
