A British Pattern 1796 infantry officer's sword
Straight 27 1/2 inch blade engraved with florals and panoply of arms, one side with Crown over a shield with GR cipher. Gilt brass hilt of standard pattern. Silver wire-wrapped grip.
Condition: Blade with scattered spotting/light pitting and some wear to engraving. Hilt retains most gilt finish. Grip excellent.
