A British Pattern 1821 light cavalry officer's saber by Prosser
Slightly curved 35 1/2 inch blade etched on both sides with crown and VR cipher over laurels and maker's inscription Prosser/to the/Royal Family/9/Charing Cross/London. Steel three bar hilt of standard pattern. Grey shagreen and copper wire-wrapped grip. Steel scabbard.
Condition: Generally clean blade with sharp etching and several small patches of pitting. Grip wrap with light wear. Scabbard cleaned and showing several dents above the drag and areas of light pitting overall.
