A French An XI light cavalry saber
probably for an NCO or junior officer

Curved, unmarked 35 inch fullered blade. Brass three-bar hilt. Grip bound with leather and double strand of heavy brass wire. Steel scabbard with brass suspension mounts and throat.
Condition: Blade lightly cleaned and showing scattered minor pitting. Hilt fine, the grip leather with some losses. Scabbard cleaned to bright metal and showing some scattered minor pitting.
