A French Napoleonic dragoon officer's sword
Slightly curved 34 1/2 inch double fullered blade engraved with conventional florals and marked above the hilt ISB on one side and on the reverse with the name and address of Coullier, the well-known Paris sword furnisher. Brass hilt garde d'bataille with characteristic pierced palmette guard and scabbard locket. Black leather and brass wire-wrapped grip. Leather scabbard with brass mounts.
Condition: Blade showing areas of light pitting overall and light wear to markings. Hilt fine. Scabbard leather scuffed but sound, the upper mounts with dark patina, the long drag cleaned and showing one deep dent.
