A pair of wood-framed porcelain wall plaques with enameled landscape decoration
Each plaque painted in pale enamels of the famille verte palette: one depicting a boy riding an ox in a deep landscape toward a rural retreat, the inscription bearing the date Guangxu 14th year (1888), bearing a signature reading Lidao ren Cheng Men (1833- before 1909) followed by a seal reading Li weng; the second, of a scholar and his servant walking along the wooded edge of a water course, also bearing a signature reading Lidao ren Cheng Men followed by a seal reading Men yin; each with mixed wood frame.
