BLOOD REPORT TAKEN 10 DAYS BEFORE HIS ASSASSINATION.
Document Signed of B.L. Taneya, partially printed and typed, 1 p, 4to, New Delhi, January 21, 1948, being a report issued by the pathology laboratory of Irwin Hospital, leaf toned, holes punched at left margin, perforations at upper left corner, some staining and chipping to right margin.
This document records the results of a blood test Gandhi took just days before his assassination, indicating a Hemoglobin level of 82%, a white blood cell (Leucocyte) count of 7,400, and a red blood cell (Erythrocyte) count of 4,790,000. The document also breaks down the white blood cell count further into percentages of Neutrophils and Lymphocytes. Gandhi was reasonably healthy for a man of his age, though his white blood cell count is somewhat elevated.
