Autograph Letter Signed ("Elizh. Fry"), 1 p, 4to, West Ham, Essex, November 1, 1835, to Annabella, Lady Byron, slightly cut down or torn away at edges glancing a couple of letters, without integral blank, remains of guard on verso.
The Quaker prison reformer writes to Byron's widow concerning the willingness of the 7th Baron, the poet's cousin and heir, "to join our committee for the Libraries for the Coastguard Stations." She invites him to visit "that we may have his advice and help." She was a firm believer in the value of education, having founded a girl's school in East Ham.
