Magna Charta cum statutis quæ antiqua vocantur, iam recens excusa. London: Richard Tottell, 1556 (i.e. 1560?). 2 parts in one volume. *8, A-X8, Y4; A-I8. Black letter. 12mo (140 x 90 mm). Modern sheep. Early marginalia, 2 gatherings misbound, a few paper flaws not touching text, rubbed.
Richard Tottell edited the 1542 edition of the Magna Carta, and held the patent to print all common law books in England. The text of the Charter is in Latin, while the statutes are in Law French; Tottell also produced English editions, though they were considered less trustworthy than the Latin. STC 9278.
