Attractive and legible early copy of Thomas Norton's Ordinall of Alchemy, a lengthy alchemical poem in English originally dedicated to Edward IV in 1477. It was published in Latin translation in 1618 and in English in 1652 as part of Elias Ashmole's Theatrum chemicum Britannicum. This copy appears to date from not long after the latter publication.
