Lot Details
c.1926 Moto Rhony'X 185cc
The Moto Rhony'X, often abbreviated to 'Moto-Rhony', was only manufactured for about ten years in the great city of Lyon along the Rhône river in France. Usually considered uneconomical for a small company in France, they made a series of robust utility machines using proprietary engines. The example here has a long-stroke, two-cycle motor and a three-speed box and belt-drive, making it very suitable for owner-maintenance in a country where a 'mechanicien' might be some distance away. Bought in original condition six years ago, the Rhony has been both mechanically and cosmetically restored. There are no documents offered with the machine.
