c.1928 Motoconfort 175cc MC2
Engine no. 60527
Alongside the market for simple, moped-style 'BMA' machines in inter-war France, there was a constant demand for lightweight motor cycles capable of more than purely local journeys. One of these was the well-known Motoconfort MC2, the slightly lower-priced version of the long-running Motobecane MB2. A reasonably rare machine, this example is under restoration with, arguably, the hard work done. Painted, overhauled and re-nickeled by Vicente Sevilla, this little machine is missing a few minor parts along with its 26" wheels (although not illustrated the wheels are expected to be present by the time of sale and will require re-conditioning).This charming Motoconfort will be an easy restoration, and subject to dating and registration, it will be eligible for most VMCC events. There are no documents and prospective buyers should check completeness before bidding.
