Group with Flowers was acquired from an exhibition of the artist's work in Beirut in the early 1960s by architect Gordon Jones, who along with his artist wife were part of the social scene in Beirut in the 1960s. Gordon Jones carried out numerous architectural projects in the Middle East and lived in Beirut from the 1950s to the 70s.
