BD-2, Breen-6464, Bass-3122, Miller-116, R.3. Details of AU to Uncirculated. Lustrous and attractive for the even yellow-gold color. Fully struck and a solid coin despite abundant die clashing seen on both sides. No detractions are apparent, one tiny alloy spot is under the E of UNITED, this being mentioned for future pedigree purposes. The usual John Reich signature star has the tiny chip in the outward point in the final star position right of the date, attributed to dies engraved by Reich himself—the designer of the present coin. The C of AMERICA is recut low. Accompanied with the original paper envelope of purchase ANA, 1975 with purchase price of $995.
