1977 Honda 249cc CJ250T
Registration no. WNP 487R
Frame no. CJ250T-2004702
Engine no. CJ250TE 20046
First on the UK market in 1977, Honda's CJ250T was a much lighter-looking version of its CB250, having a much sportier appearance with new seat-unit and tank. The CJ was also noticed, not always favourably, for the absence of a centre-stand, often added later. Nevertheless, the CJ proved to be a popular bike, reviving the fortunes of Honda's 250 range. With 27bhp and light weight it would do an easy 85mph with Honda's usual bullet-proof reliability. The CJ Hondas are in increasingly high regard, both as collector's machines and as relatively inexpensive rebuilds for enthusiasts for earlier Japanese machines. Dismantled, on its wheels, on SORN with a V5, buyers are invited to check WNP 487R for completeness.
