The Home of the Blizzard: being the Story of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition, 1911-1914. Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott, [c.1915]. 2 volumes. Plates, 3 maps in pocket at end. 4to. Original cloth. Very occasional light foxing, light scuffing on one title, binding rubbed, hinges starting.

First American edition, signed, inscribed and with a letter from the author. Volume 1 is inscribed "To Arthur W. Ronnie. Do you hear them? 'The stark and sullen solitudes that sentinel the Pole.' Best wishes, Douglas Murray." Volume 2 is signed below the frontispiece. Included is a one-page Typed Letter Signed ("Douglas Murray") mentioning having inscribed this set, and explaining the scarcity of the 2-volume first edition.
