PROVENANCE: Possibly from the estate of Henry, comte de La Vaulx (1870-1930).
Louis-Jacques-Anne-Desire Le Roux de Kerninon (b. 1752) fought in the American War of Independence and was made a lieutenant of the infantry regiment of Soissons on 16 December 1781 soon after America's final victory of the war.
