Introduced in 1966, the Honda CD175 was aimed squarely at the market sector that regarded motorcycles merely as cheap and convenient transport rather than thrilling lifestyle accessories. Not exactly an exciting performer, the CD175 would nevertheless cruise comfortably at 65mph while at the same time delivering around 70 miles to every gallon. A lengthy - by Japanese standards - production run of almost 12 years proved the rightness of the basic concept.

Owned by the vendor's family since 1973, this example was last taxed for the road to 30th April 1983 and currently displays a total of 40,835 miles on the odometer. Sold strictly as viewed, 'RFM 874F'comes with old-style Swansea V5 and a quantity of spares to include control cables, gasket set and brake shoes. The machine's degree of originality and completeness should make it a not too difficult restoration project for the enthusiast who appreciates Japanese classics however humble. No reserve.
