Copeland 'Art Union Of London' twin handled tazza

The circular upper tier mounted on a pedestal base and standing on a spreading circular foot, the upper tier having twin solid gilt handles, finely enamelled with central panel depicting a seated classical lady playing the lyre, the central panel encircled by eight reserves, filled with scenes of classical nymphs holding tympanis and floral garlands and cranes surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves, all reserved against a black ground detailed with arabesque motifs, pierced leaves and scrollwork decoration, all surrounded by an arched dentil rim border; 12cm high, 34cm diam, green printed mark, and black printed 'Art union of London' mark.
