1968 European Cup Winners replica medal - George Best
To the obverse with football design and 'COUPE DES CLUBS CHAMPIONS EUROPEENS', to the reverse 'VANQUER 1968', ring suspension, in purple velvet lined original case. George Best misplaced his original medal and as a special gesture the P.F.A. gave permission to replicate the medal and for this purpose Sir Bobby Charlton's medal was borrowed. The replicated medal was presented to George in 2002 following his transplant on his 2nd appearance on the 'This is your life' programme', the medal presented to George by Shay Brennans wife Liz.
