A pair of early 19th century bisque figures
The figures modelled as a young couple playing tennis, the man dressed in blue floral-patterned trousers, white and gilt jacket, and turquoise cloak, wearing a green beret with yellow feathers, with a tree stump behind him, the lady modelled in cream-coloured dress with floral patterns, and wearing a white hat with a blue ribbon, both figures modelled with racquet in hand, and stood on circular naturalistic bases, 50cms and 48cms high respectively (2).
