A fine Hugh Birkett figured walnut cabinet dated 1996
Of upright form with a faceted front, enclosed by a pair of moulded bar glazed doors concealing two adjustable mahogany shelves, rectangular glazed panel sides, below a moulded cornice, over a pair of doors each with nine symmetrically arranged moulded edge panels, brass pull/latch handles, conforming triple panel sides, on six chamfered block legs united by chamfered rail stretchers, stamped '19HB96' to the top of the right base door, and with ink inscribed printed label verso for 'The Worshipful Company Of Furniture Makers, Guild Mark No. "197", Awarded To, "Display Cabinet, by Hugh Birkett", Date "14th April 1997" ',
