An Arts and Crafts citrine necklace by Kate Eadie
Unmarked,
the central circular drop composed of oval-cut citrines to a mount of wires, beads and incised leaves, suspended from a similar oval link and fringe necklace conforming in decoration, to a fancy reef knot and figure-of-eight link chain applied at intervals with clusters of incised leaves, drop 8cm long, necklace 38cm long.

    Two similar necklaces were included in The Arts & Crafts Society's Exhibition, 1912 and other pieces by Eadie are illustrated in The Studio, Vol 60, 'Some Examples of Modern English Jewellery'.

    Kate Eadie studied at Birmingham School of Art, where she met and married the Birmingham School painter Sidney Harold Metyard, R.B.S.A. (1868-1947). It is likely that she was the model for both figures in his painting St. Cecilia.
