Note: Introduced in 1909, the Adams Minex reflex camera was a development of the Videx camera of 1903, having a revolving back, which Adams claimed as a first. This was included on the Minex coupled to internal viewfinder masks. The camera incorporated Adams innovative patented mirror raised by spring pressure when the camera shutter release button was pressed rather than using the mechanical pressure on the release button to raise the mirror. Re-tensioning the shutter lowered the mirror for viewing. The Minex was made in sizes from 2½ x 3½ inches to half-plate at prices from £53 to £75.
