A Staffordshire Toby Jug and crown, circa 1820
Of 'Ordinary' type and decorated overglaze, attired in a dark brown tricorn with matching crown, reddish brown jacket, blue waistcoat and green breeches, he holds a foaming jug in both hands on his left knee, the canted square base with marbled decoration, 25cm (crown broken in two and restuck).
