Royal East Kent Imperial Yeomanry (The Duke of Connaught's Own Mounted Rifles) Bass Drum C.1903-1908
An extremely fine example in totally original condition complete with both skins, all cording and paintwork, the hoops in black with red linear decoration, the body in black paint with polychrome decoration featuring the Royal Arms. The K/C Garter enclosing the White Horse and 'Invicta' scroll, below this the honour 'South Africa 1900-01' above the Royal Arms and the full title of the Regiment. Towards the rear 'Hawkes & Son, Makers, Denman St. Piccadilly Circus London', three brass feet, two small tears to the underskin. 82cm diameter.
