The charger of circular form, standing on a rounded footed base, painted with a scene depicting Greek philosopher Pythagoras theorising with fellow "wise men", within a classic architectural setting, painted in typical ochre, blue and green glazes, 40.5cms wide, with the 19th century Urbino-style figure group, modelled as Zeus and Hera seated upon a rocky outcrop at the summit of Mount Olympus, with winged Putti below, with indistinct text and marks to base of verso (restored), 46cms high (2).
