Sims inside); The Bazar Chumbi.

    3. Seven prints, of which four (surely a very rare depiction) show the Tibetan burial practice (procession, dismemberment, destruction of the bones, vultures), the other three showing Tibetans in masks and a man on a yak (possibly one of the 'burial' party); together with seven miscellaneous images including a regimental group captioned "'K' Coy Xmas 1910", "Tibetan Lamas Dancing", "Gyantse Fort".

    An album of photographs belonging to the same period, including images of the Panchen Lama's motor car (see above) was Lot 355 in our sale India and Beyond, 9 October 2009.
