An 18th century and later brass lantern clock
The silvered chapter ring with an engraved centre inscribed 'Joseph Curtis, in Cheiv, fecit', thirty hour striking movement, lion and unicorn shaped and pierced frets, on turned feet, with a later oak bracket, the clock 42cm high. (2)
- The inscription should read 'Joseph Curtis, in Chew, fecit'. Joseph Curtis is listed as working in Chew Magna, Somerset circa 1680-circa 1715.
