  • This portrait of Olivier was taken by David Bailey for the actor's 80th birthday. This lot was donated by Bailey to the charity auction 'Going Going Gone' held at the Royal Court Theatre, London, on 22nd April 1990 in aid of the Olivier Building Appeal. Acquired by the present owner at that auction, the photograph is accompanied by the performance programme and auction catalogue for the evening signed by Lady Olivier.
