A gold lacquer five-case inro
19th Century
Decorated on a kinji ground with a phoenix-prow treasure boat sailing through foaming waves, reversed by a suhama (miniature landscape) with Jo and Uba accompanied by a crane and minogame on a stand festooned with the 'Three Friends of Winter', executed in gold, silver and iro-e hiramakie, takamakie and e-nashiji, signed Korissai; with a reticulated gilt metal ojime.
