    Literature
Hannah Frank was born in Glasgow in 1908 and her artistic career spanned
some 75 years. Her earliest known ink drawing dates from 1925 and she
continued to work in this black & white medium until 1952 when she started
clay modelling at the Glasgow School of Art. Hannah developed her career
under the renowned sculptor Benno Schotz and his colleague Paul Zunterstein.
Perhaps best known for her figure studies in various moods, she executed works
over a period of some forty years - the earliest sculpture dates from 1952 and the latest, a double figure, dates from 1994. Hannah exhibited regularly throughout her career at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh and the Glasgow Institute of Fine Art as well as the Royal Academy.
