A framed and mounted autograph photo of Bob Champion on Aldaniti together with a horse shoe from Aldaniti
Together with a letter from Aldaniti's owner relating to the horse shoe, dated 1984 and a horse shoe from Hallo Dandy.
Aldaniti was ridden by Bob Champion in the 1981 Grand National. Both horse and rider had been battling injury and serious illness at the time and the scene was set for a memorable victory over the much fancied Spartan Missile. Two years later their story had been turned into the film, 'Champions', starring John Hurt.
John Champion and Aldaniti remained popular figures after their famous race and took part in many public appearances to raise awareness of cancer. In 1997 Aldaniti passed away aged 27.
