Footnotes

  • Literature:

These earrings, or a virtually identical pair, are illustrated and discussed in 'Investing in Antique Jewellery', by Richard Falkiner, p131, published by Barrie & Rockliff, The Cresset Press, 1968.

The book suggests that pieces of this nature were made in France at the end of the 19th century.
