Distilled 17th July 1937, bottled 24th October 2001. Distilled and bottled by William Grant & Sons Limited, Dufftown.
Cask number 843 yielding 61 bottles, 10 released in 2001. Driven cork, wax capsule with chipping to upper circumferance. Printed paper seal intact. Good labelling. Level: top shoulder. 70 cl. Single malt, 44% volume

  • Tasting note: The spirit has a nose with "huge gouquet" of "newly dug peat, burnt leather, old books, leather and oak". As to the palate, it is "smooth and silky" and "wraps around the tongue, with sweet flavours reminiscent of treacle toffee, creme brulee and toasted almonds".
