Decorated in lustre and gilding, embellished in green, crimson, pale and dark blue enamels, probably in the Dresden workshop of Georg Funcke, each with a broad band of flowers and foliage embellished with foliate scrolls, the saucer with a lustre and gilt floral motif in the centre, the teabowl interior gilt, the saucer: 13.5cm diam.; the teabowl: 5.1cm high (2)

    The teapot, sugar box and cover and two teabowls and saucers from the same service are in the Hans Syz Collection (Syz 1979, no. 25). The waste bowl from the service, formerly in the Dr. Siegfried Ducret Collection, Zurich, was sold by Christie's Geneva, 11 May 1987, lot 130. Three gadrooned beakers and saucers with similar decoration are also recorded: one, in the Arnhold Collection, New York, has four gilt dots to the underside of the beaker (Cassidy-Geiger 2008, no. 67, where attributed to the Funcke workshop); two similar beakers and saucers, with four purple dots, were sold by Sotheby's Amsterdam, 28 March 2007, lot 725.
