A rare Meissen beaker and a saucer
circa 1740
Each painted with a landscape vignette with two hens, a sprig of flowers bound with a ribbon and a flowering peony branch, brown-edged rims, the saucer: 13.1cm diam., the beaker: 7cm high, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed Dreher's mark ** for Christian Meynert (Rückert 1996, pl. 6 no. 24) on the saucer and 24 on the beaker (2)
