A rare Meissen dish
circa 1735
Painted with a winged, tiger-like dragon curled around bamboo and flowering peonies, facing a stork and butterfly with scattered leaves and flower sprigs around the wavy rim, 38.2cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised 4, impressed (unidentified) Dreher's mark ++ (Rückert 1996, pl. 9, no. 6)
