A jade mah jong set,
Chinese, circa 1920, formerly the property of HM Queen Elisabeth of Greece
the silk-lined wooden case with a sliding front and five drawers, four drawers holding thirty six jade tiles, the top drawer containing four further unmarked jade tiles, bone counters, and four jade and gilt die in a small oblong shaped box with a sliding lid; sold with a facsimile letter from HSH The Prince Marc of Hohenzollern-Roumanie explaining the provenance of the set, dated April 1979,
the box 16cm wide, 12cm high, 10cm deep, the jade tiles each 1.5cm wide.
Sold for £9,000 inc. premium
