one side tea-stained, the other side left natural, each chessman decorated with incised "penwork", kings as Emperors, queens as consorts, bishops as mandarins, knights as horsemen, rooks as pagodas, pawns as Immortals, each chessman with an inset "seal" to the underside of the base, in a wooden fitted and "silk" lined chess board/box of large size,
the king 20cm high, the pawn 11cm high, the board 82cm wide (2).
