signed Butterfield AParis, the octagonal dial with hinged gnomon and bird pointer, inset compass rose (glass cracked) and plate engraved with standard four hour scales with Arabic and Roman numerals, the base engraved with thirty one European cities and their latitudes and marked Premier Cadran, 2 3/4 by 2 1/4in (7 by 5.5cm)
